Your current employment and future are important to us, so we provide training to build your skills and marketability, and we help you find jobs while helping employers find good workers.
Social justice, respect, dignity, fairness in the workplace—these are some of the values CLAC stands for, and they make for the most effective union representation. Today, aggression is out. Constructive dialogue is in.

Read moreThe fire in our house was the scariest thing we've been through, and your help made the transition back into our home a little easier for all. I really don't know what to say except that this is an awesome union, and I'm very glad to be a part of it.
CLAC helped me through a difficult time with my employer, which I'm convinced I would not have received through the international union I belonged to for seven years before. I find CLAC to be a much more personal forum where your concerns are actually heard.
Thank you for forwarding my resume and I just wanted to let you know that Graham Construction has hired me on. It is great to remain a CLAC member. I am very pleased with the level of commitment that my union has shown me and all your support.
We did a great job at negotiations. The bargaining committee was strong and our rep made a solid, well-researched case at arbitration. The result was a win for the miners at Wolverine Coal.
CLAC is a great union that puts the employees first.
CLAC has made a 100 percent positive difference in my workplace.
In all of the 30 years that I have worked at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, from the time that we acquired CLAC for union representation, I have never ever felt that I was not protected.
Talking with friends and family, I see that CLAC is different in a good way. CLAC is always available for their members, no issue seems too big or too small. CLAC is always there to help.
Whenever we have a question or a concern, our rep has been there for us and gets back to us right away. We don’t have to wait for days to hear back. CLAC has made a real difference in our workplace.
CLAC has always responded quickly to the concerns and grievances of the members. I would meet with anyone interested in CLAC to tell them about what CLAC does for us.
I've worked at two different CLAC workplaces and have always found the benefits and pension plans to be as good or better than any other union workplace I've worked at. CLAC is always just a phone call away and they always get back to me quickly.
Since being with CLAC I have received sixteen certificates in just one year. I strongly recommend and encourage all my fellow CLAC members to take part in all that CLAC has to offer. I believe that knowledge is wealth and with that you make yourself better and more valuable to your company. Thanks again CLAC for all your support.
On December 3, 2010, I was injured at work. The incident left me unable to carry out my duties as a nurse. At that time, I contacted the director of care, workers’ comp., and my union rep, Mike Glockner. Any person who has ever dealt with workers’ comp. knows this is a long and arduous process. During this time, Mike contacted me almost daily on the progress of my health and my claim updates and provided his personal support. I would like to take this time to thank Mike for his timeless effort on my behalf.
CLAC puts me and my company ahead of others because we get the latest safety and specific job site training.
OFHCW told us that if we switched over to CLAC our jobs would be gone, there would be no benefits, our seniority would be gone. What they never told us was that our contract would come with us, that management still had to follow the contract, and we would lose nothing. We were able to negotiate a much better contract with CLAC. We can also read and understand the contract we now have. Making the switch over to CLAC was the best move we ever made.
Thanks to CLAC for the General Carpentry Certificate of Qualification Pre-Exam course and the help they gave getting me into it. It was a great course. The instructor, facility, and Mississauga office staff hospitality couldn’t have been better.
